ISLAMABAD:  A new door for e-commerce has to open for Pakistan as the e-commerce world's largest platform Amazon decided officially to include the country into their list of the seller in the coming day's news from the advisor of Prime Minister of Pakistan on Commerce Razak Dawood announced on Thursday.

The addition of Pakistan to Amazon will create a big market opportunity for exporters to send their products worldwide. This platform will meet Amazon 3 P model through the brand's owner would earn. Where a third-party relationship retailer can sell its products directly to the end users through e-commerce). 1 P model denotes to mass producers ( market works as a retailer, while brand works as wholesale supplier). Whom do you want to sell? Who is keen among you to produce Amazon-based products item?

Several Pakistani companies have already engaged with this platform whose offices are located from foreign countries. The country to be a part of itself in seller’s list will invite to both small enterprises (SME’s) and medium enterprises (ME’s) to get the opportunity and provide services.

This platform will create opportunities for many more businesses to come and the buyers once will able from the globe to buy Pakistani products as Amazon will connect to SME’s and ME’s.

Once the decision executes, Amazon will open the registration process for Pakistani companies. Amazon annually turnover about $300-400 billion of sales. China and Indian are two giant markets that use this platform for selling their domestic goods and services worldwide.

Amazon is consumers oriented platform where customers’ reviews and level of satisfaction would be the top priority.

The forms of businesses ‘business to business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C)’ while consumers cross-border e-commerce will be a new form of business that has to be popular now in Pakistan.

Pakistan mostly exports its products of textiles, sports, leather, and surgical goods on Amazon. Thus, Pakistan was not a part of Amazon sellers list, but now it would. Before this decision, Pakistan gets registered itself from other foreign countries or they used to export Amazon’s products only.  

Sources tell the official matter for registration came to an end with the untired efforts of the commerce ministry ad Pakistani mission they had in Washington and Lose Angeles.

Commerce advisor yesterday happily tweets: We have finally made it. Amazon will be adding Pakistan to its sellers list within a few days. We have been engaged with Amazon since last year and now it's happening.

In a tweet, he said: “A great development as Amazon has finally approved that our sellers can export their goods through their system. Amazon starting operations in Pak will open opportunities for our youth as it will enable a new breed of young men & women entrepreneurs to join the export market.”
